A Balkan Dagger, An Afghan Choora, A Nepalese Kukri, And Two Spears
All 19th Century

The first of yataghan form, with single-edged blade, the silver hilt and scabbard cast and chased with scrolling foliage in low relief along each side, the latter with foliate finial and integral loop for suspension; the second with sharply-pointed single-edged blade (tip missing), and beaked hilt with hardstone grip-scales and brass basal mount (damaged and repaired), in original wood-lined brass scabbard engraved and pierced with designs of foliage overall; the third with characteristic blade and carved wooden hilt, in original leather-covered wooden scabbard (by-knives missing) with silver chape; the last including one with long slender blade of flattened diamond section, on tapering wooden staff of circular section (5)
