A 52-Bore Henry's Patent Breech-Loading Centre-Fire Service Rifle
By Alexr. Henry, Dated 1871

With rifled sighted barrel stamped 'Henry's Patent Rifling' at the breech and retained by two barrel bands, the forward one with bayonet lug on the right, folding adjustable back-sight (adjuster missing) calibrated to 1000 yards, action stamped 'Henry's Patent' on one side and 'W.R.A. & A. Co.' above the date on the other, signed back-action lock on the left side, figured full stock and butt (heavily bruised, the former damaged on one side), under-lever with sprung thumb-catch engaging with a hook on the trigger-guard, iron mounts, sling loop (the other missing), and iron ramrod (worn and pitted overall), Birmingham proof marks
