With browned sighted take-down barrel fitting into the breech section and retained by a screw from beneath, signed breech section with two gold lines, finely engraved tang incorporating the back-sight, bevelled flat lock signed on a scroll against a martial trophy and with a further martial trophy and foliage on the bow, engraved cocking-lever, figured half-stock with chequered grip, blued iron mounts decorated en suite with the lock and comprising butt-plate and trigger-guard, vacant shield-shaped silver escutcheon, engraved silver fore-end cap, original horn-tipped ramrod with iron worm, and some original finish: in original lined and fitted oak case with some accessories including spherical brass reservoir with knurled medial band, brass-mounted pump with wooden handles, pump wrench and bullet mould, the interior of the lid with trade label of James 2 Collins for circa 1833-54, the exterior with flush-fitting brass carrying handle
