A Fine Colt 1849 Model Pocket Percussion Revolver
No. 86078. For 1854

Engraved by the Gustave Young workshop in the 'Style No. 2' pattern on each side of the breech involving flower-heads, frame with an eagle's head on the left side and engraved 'Colt's Patent', hammer, the nose engraved as a monster-head, on each side of the rammer, on the silvered brass grip-strap and bow of the trigger-guard (some wear to silvering), and on the barrel-wedge, barrel engraved 'Saml Colt' (in old English script) and retaining some original blueing, cylinder with roll engraved stagecoach hold-up scene, rounded ivory grips, and matching numbers
