A French 32-Bore Brass-Mounted Flintlock Pistol
Early 19th Century

With brass two-stage cannon barrel struck with a mark on top and with turned girdle, part octagonal breech cut with flutes along the angles, plain tang, rounded brass lock, figured half-stock (minor worming) with off-set aperture for a ramrod (missing) and carved 'XVI' on one side of the rounded bird's head butt, brass mounts comprising rounded side-plate, beaked butt-cap, and trigger-guard with shaped finial
