A Very Rare Liège All-Metal Working Miniature Flintlock Pocket Pistol
By Niquet Le Jeune A Liège, Circa 1750

With turn-off cannon barrel, foliate engraved octagonal breech, engraved tapering tang with finial over the breech and secured by a screw, foliate scroll engraved action (defective, cock and safety-catch replaced), engraved pan with steel-spring beneath, exposed trigger, and border engraved swelling hollow silver butt decorated on each side with foliate scrollwork and along the spine with spheres, and with a grotesque mask behind the tang
