A Bavarian 32-Bore Flintlock Pistol
By I. Christoph Kuchenreuter, Relocked By Clark Of London, Late 18th Century

With russet sighted barrel inlaid with silver scrollwork overall and signed in silver along the top flat, the breech with circular silver-lined maker's mark (Neue Støckel 640) and gold-lined touch-hole, tang with folding leaf back-sight, signed border engraved flat bevelled detented lock with a starburst behind the pan, roller, moulded highly figured full stock with flattened butt and carved around the rear ramrod-pipe and barrel tang, iron mounts comprising shaped flat side-plate (one screw missing) and vacant escutcheon, spurred pommel with ovoidal cap, trigger-guard and rear ramrod-pipe each with shaped finial, horn fore-end cap, and horn-tipped ramrod (iron parts refinished and with some light pitting)
