With shortened russet barrel chiselled with acanthus at the breech, the breech on one side stamped 'I. Piqvet (sic) together with a barrelsmith's mark, a towerhouse in a shield between lion supporters, plain tang, flat bevelled lock chiselled with panels of foliage against punched grounds, cock (top jaw and screw replaced) and steel en suite, moulded figured full stock (butt bruised and slightly chipped), border engraved brass mounts decorated with rocailles and foliage and comprising shaped flat bevelled side-plate, spurred pommel and trigger-guard with foliate finial, brass ramrod-pipes, and later iron-capped ramrod
