With reblued sighted barrel stamped 'St. Etienne' and 'Acier' behind the adjustable back-sight, blued cylinder beneath with knurled bands and stamped with a hot air balloon mark and 'Poids', 'Plein', '181 Grmes', 'Poids', 'Vide' and '157 Grmes' on the flats at the action, reblued action engraved with vines and with circular loading aperture, loading-lever with knurled spherical bolt, chequered figured rounded grips, one numbered '2293' and stamped with a star mark, blued foliate engraved spur trigger and ovoidal pommel, the latter with baluster finial, and set trigger
