A Continental 55-Bore Dumonthier Patent Percussion Dagger-Pistol
Mid-19th Century

With fluted tapering double-edged blade mounted with a plain barrel within the central fuller on both sides at the forte, rounded recurved quillons, the upper ones chequered and forming the hammers, folding triggers, diagonally ribbed rounded dark horn grips, and small fixed ring for suspension, in original brown leather scabbard (seam partly open below the locket) with brass locket and chape, the former with moulded suspension loop (repaired minor rust patination)
