An Unusual French 54-Bore Long-Barrelled Six-Shot Pin-Fire Revolver
Signed ... Lefaucheux Br.te, Paris, No. 1156, Circa 1870

With russet sighted barrel signed along the top in front of the folding adjustable back-sight calibrated to 200 metres, russet cylinder and action, the latter stamped with maker's mark (Neue Støckel 7770) and serial number on one side, and numbered '214' on the other, sprung cartridge-extracting rod, hinged loading-gate, russet spur trigger-guard and ovoidal butt-cap, the latter with suspension swivel, and figured rounded butt with flat oval at the back, possibly for attaching a shoulder-stock
