Rebuilt from flintlock, with russet octagonal sighted barrel retaining some blueing, signed 'I. Christophe Kuchenreiter' in silver along the top flat and inlaid with silver strapwork overall, silver fore-sight, and circular gold-lined maker's mark at the breech (Neue Støckel 640), tang numbered '2' and with folding leaf back-sights, rounded case-hardened detented lock engraved with foliage and retaining faint traces of maker's signature, lightly figured full stock with fluted butt, the latter with iron mount for a shoulder-stock now set with two pieces of mother-of-pearl, foliate engraved white-metal mounts comprising shaped butt-cap and spur trigger-guard, foliate engraved iron side-nail plate, white-metal ramrod-pipes (fore-end cap missing), set trigger, and later ramrod
