Signed LePage A Paris, Late 18th Century

With turn-off cannon barrel numbered '2' on the lug and engraved with a band of leaves at the breech, breech numbered to correspond, action signed in script within a beaded oval on each side, thumbpiece safety-catch in the form of a top jaw, cock engraved with a dolphin on each side, folding trigger (minor chip and inoperative) within an engraved garland, and figured rounded butt fluted along the spine and with a chequered panel on each side (minor rust patination)
