A Continental 25-Bore Air Rifle
Unsigned But Possibly By Roches Wastl, Vienna, Mid-18th Century

With later russet turn-off twist sighted barrel rifled with five grooves and threaded at the muzzle for a later knurled brass cap carrying a wooden ramrod, moulded brass action with false tang carrying the iron back-sight, iron safety-catch on the left operated by a sprung brass button, rounded iron lock with hooked cocking-lever, brass spur trigger-guard, and detachable brass butt reservoir recovered in brown leather, Birmingham proof marks; together with a later iron pump (2)
