A French 13-Bore 1779 Model Naval Belt Pistol Of Second Type
Circa 1780

With plain russet barrel and tang, the former retained by a brass barrel band and carrying the fore-sight, incorporating the ramrod-entry and extending back to the trigger-guard, the latter with iron extension down the back of the butt, flat bevelled lock (cock incomplete, steel detached) engraved 'Mre. Rle. de Tulle' and with brass pan, figured half-stock (some bruising) with rounded butt, regulation brass mounts including trigger-guard, belt hook, and original iron ramrod, the main parts each stamped with an 'R' crowned mark (some surface rust and patination)
