Of iron, each with pointed flared cuff with medial ridge and struck with the Nuremberg mark, made in two halves and with turned borders, a boss over the ulna, seven articulated metacarpal plates extending down the back of each hand to the prominently ridged knuckle-plate, shaped finger base-plate, overlapping finger plates riveted to later leathers, hinged four-plate thumb defences en suite, domed iron rivets throughout, and both with punched assembly marks inside (some rust patination overall and minor brazing) (2)
