Comprising a folding calliper by Berge, London, in two symmetrical halves hinged at one end and finely engraved with scales for 'Quantity of Powder for filling the Chambers of Brass Mortars & Howitzers' and marked out in inches for Sea and Land on one side, and for 'Brass Guns' over 'Proof Service' and 'Iron Guns Proof Service' on the other, hinged from '0' to '180' degrees, marked with a 12in. rule, and with steel tips; a hinged sector engraved on each side with linear and non-linear scales; a proportional compass marked out for 'Circles' and 'Lines'; a large and a small pair of dividers; two compasses with two nib attachments; a gunner's rule marked out with various linear scales on both sides; and an adjustable gunner's level with bubble-level (some instruments missing): in original fitted two-tier mahogany case lined in green velvet and retaining its original key
