The first lined and fitted (two compartments damaged) for a percussion sporting gun and accessories, the exterior of the lid (one end missing) with flush-fitting brass carrying handle centred on a circular vacant brass escutcheon; the second lined and fitted for a d.b. percussion sporting gun and accessories (minor damage), the interior of the lid with maker's trade label for 1826-72, the exterior with circular vacant brass escutcheon (2)
