The right side of the receiver with original designation dated 1881 and with cocking-indicator, the left side with conversion markings dated 1895, stock with Enfield arsenal stamp, brass butt-disc inset on the right side and steel butt-plate, sling-swivels, the three-quarter length forestock with iron cap and bayonet-bar, the barrel with ladder rear-sight and blade-foresight
