With three-stage cannon barrel, breech signed above a panel of foliage and inscribed 'London' beneath the steel-spring, waisted foliate engraved tang, border engraved action (cock associated), sliding trigger-guard safety-catch engraved with foliage on the bow, swelling figured butt carved with a shell behind the barrel tang, cast and chased mounts comprising pierced foliate side-plate involving a rococo cartouche and profile grotesque head, vacant escutcheon with scroll border, a grotesque mask above and a shell below, and pommel-cap with the figure of Victory seated amid banners within a border of rocailles and foliage, London proof marks and maker's mark
