An 18-Bore Flintlock Holster Pistol
The Lock Signed Clemetshaw, Circa 1770

With plain barrel with border engraved sighting flat terminating in a teardrop motif, a line of beadwork at the breech, foliate engraved tang, later signed border engraved flat bevelled lock with roller, figured full stock carved with a shell behind the barrel tang, steel mounts comprising side-plate pierced and chiselled with foliage centred on a shaped cartouche, chiselled trophy of arms escutcheon engraved with an owner's crest, border engraved spurred pommel decorated with a martial trophy on each side, and trigger-guard with acorn finial and a flower-head on the bow, turned ramrod-pipes (rear one damaged), and later horn-tipped ramrod (some wear and rust patination overall)
