With turn-off barrel fitted with spring bayonet beneath, border engraved brass action (top jaw, screw and steel replaced, safety-catch missing) signed within an oval against a martial trophy and a starburst on one side, and engraved 'London' in an oval against a trophy of arms on the other, sliding trigger-guard engraved on the bow, and figured flat-sided butt (steel parts with some pitting), Birmingham proof marks
