A Pair Of 54-Bore Percussion Travelling Pistols, And A 120-Bore Percussion Box-Lock Turn-Over Pocket Pistol
The First Signed D. Egg, London, Mid-19th Century, The Second Unsigned But By Lang, London, Circa 1850

The first with rebrowned octagonal sighted barrels each signed along the top flat, foliate engraved reblued tangs, signed back-action locks and trigger-guards, the last each with pineapple finial, figured full stocks with chequered rounded butts, and later horn-tipped ramrods, Birmingham proof marks; the second with turn-off hand-rotated barrels, border engraved breeches inscribed 'Patent' on one side and 'London' on the other, action engraved on both sides with foliage including sprigs of wheat and laurel, dolphin hammer, engraved thumbpiece safety-catch, folding trigger, chequered rounded butt with foliate engraved silver butt-cap, and vacant silver escutcheon (some pitting overall), London proof marks (3)
