With octagonal sighted barrel retaining some original blueing and signed in full along the top-strap, cylinder line engraved around the forward edge, border engraved frame with some original blueing, blued border engraved trigger-guard, ovoidal butt-cap, and chequered rounded butt (minor areas of pitting): in original relined and refitted oak case with accessories including correct brass bullet mould and G. & J.W. Hawksley powder-flask, the interior of the lid with maker's yellow trade label, the exterior with circular brass escutcheon engraved with owner's crest, a brass plate next to the lock engraved 'Sold by E. & E. Emanuel, The Hard, Portsea, Agents.', London proof marks
