With octagonal sighted barrel, top-strap signed in full and extending along the top flat, plain cylinder, border engraved frame decorated with foliate scrollwork, trigger and ovoidal butt-cap originally engraved en suite, the latter with hinged circular butt-trap cover, safety-stop and arbor-pin catch, and chequered figured rounded butt (some wear and rust patination overall): in relined and refitted contemporary oak case with accessories including brass bullet mould (in poor condition) and James Dixon & Sons powder-flask, the interior of the lid with yellow maker's trade label, the exterior with vacant circular brass escutcheon, London proof marks
