A 50-Bore Kerr Patent Five-Shot Double-Action Percussion Revolver
Retailed By The London Armoury Company, No. 2509, Circa 1860

With octagonal barrel (dove-tailed behind the missing fore-sight), cylinder serial numbered '2128', border engraved frame and slender back-action lock (action defective, arbor retaining spring missing, hammer probably replaced), the former engraved 'Kerr's Patent 2509' on one side, numbered '2592' on the inside of the frame, and stamped 'London Armoury' on the other side, replacement rammer, plain trigger-guard and butt-cap, the latter with lanyard ring, and chequered rounded butt (split and bruised, worn and rust patinated overall), London proof marks
