A 54-Bore Early Adams Patent 1851 Model Five-Shot Self-Cocking Percussion Revolver

With octagonal sighted barrel, top-strap with indistinct retailer's details, plain cylinder, border engraved frame (action defective) decorated with foliate scrollwork and engraved 'Charles Dashwood Esqre. Rifle Brigade' along one side, sprung safety-stop and arbor-pin catch (incomplete, arbor-pin missing), trigger-guard and ovoidal butt-cap en suite with the frame, the latter with hinged circular butt-trap cover, chequered figured rounded butt, and traces of original blueing (some wear, pitting and rust patination overall), London proof marks
