A Pair Of North Italian Flintlock Pistols
By N. Duina, Mid-18th Century

With two-stage barrels turned at the girdle, octagonal breeches engraved with lines along the angles, border engraved tangs, signed flat bevelled locks, cocks chiselled with foliage, moulded figured full stocks (one with minor repairs and chipped in front of the lock) carved with foliage behind each barrel tang, steel mounts chiselled with foliate scrollwork comprising rounded side-plates, escutcheons (one missing), spurred pommels (one spur bent), trigger-guards, turned ramrod-pipes, and horn-tipped ramrods (2)
