Four Powder-Flasks, And A Shot-Flask
One By Dixon & Son, One By G. & J.W. Hawksley, And One By W. Bartram, All 19th Century

The first with bag-shaped body and faceted outer edge, one side with applied medallion embossed and chased with a gundog flushing a pheasant in a landscape, and brass top with adjustable nozzle; the second with similar body embossed with a scallop shell on each side, brass top with enclosed cut-off spring (missing), and retaining much of its original lacquered finish; the third with body of oval form embossed with a design of symmetrical foliage on each side (cut-off spring missing); the fourth with slightly curved lanthorn body of flattened tapering section, brass mounts and adjustable nozzle retaining traces of original finish, and two rings for suspension; the last with bag-shaped leather body with ring for suspension, and brass nozzle with sprung cut-off lever retaining most of its original lacquered finish (5)
