A German Door-Lock
17th Century

Of partially tinned iron, the shaped lock mounted with an iron plate pierced and chased with elaborate scrollwork inhabited by St. George slaying the dragon and with a grotesque profile head at the key-hole, internal mechanism acting against two springs each retained by a floret-headed washer and throwing two bolts simultaneously or individually, the border with applied iron plates pierced and chased en suite
