Of characteristic form, with slender replacement steel bow (strings and fore-sight missing), folding back-sight mounted on a folding line engraved gaffle struck with maker's mark (probably Neue Støckel 4473), iron tiller etched at a later date with a head of Mars between strapwork on one side and incorporating a sprung button beneath, angular iron trigger-guard (incomplete), veneered butt (some losses and replacements) inlaid with a scene from William Tell on the cheekpiece, and with steel ring finial (rust patinated overall)
