In excavated condition, with broad tapering double-edged blade with shallow central fuller over nearly half its length on each side, each fuller at the forte with a latten-inlaid running wolf mark, one side inlaid in latten 'S II +', and 'II III' together with an indistinct mark on the other, hilt comprising straight quillons of oblong section widening towards the tips, flat tapering tang deeply struck with a triangular maker's mark, and compressed chamfered wheel pommel deeply incised with a cross on each side
