Last Quarter Of The 17th Century
With broad tapering double-edged blade cut with double fullers between incised lines over each side of the forte, iron 'ribbon' guard of broad flat bars forming irregular openings, rear guard of slender bars, rudimentary hooked fore-quillon, compressed globular pommel with flat rounded button, and later spirally-grooved leather-covered grip bound with twisted iron wire (pitted overall)
