A Sword In Venetian Mid-Late 16th Century Style
19th Century

With broad tapering double-edged blade with central fuller on each side of the forte stamped 'M.O.N.T.A.R.I.', hilt of flat bars pierced with curved slots and circles, comprising vertically recurved quillons, diagonal side-guard on the outside with three circles and linked to the knuckle-guard, lower side-guard en suite and linking the tips of the arms, pommel en suite with the hilt, and grip now bound with twisted iron wire (patinated overall)
