With sharply tapering blade (some rust patination) of hollow triangular section cut with slightly hollowed patterns including a star on one side at the forte, characteristic hilt decorated in relief with rococo scrolls and swags of flowering foliage against finely trellised gilt grounds framing, on both sides of the double shell-guard, the quillon-block and ovoidal pommel, oval medallions enclosing hounds attacking various prey, all picked-out in gold against finely punched gilt grounds, knuckle-guard en suite and with a sporting trophy in an oval on both sides, gilt button, and original grip bound with silver ribbon and twisted silver wire
