With colichemarde blade (acid cleaned overall) of sharply tapering hollow triangular section, hilt comprising slightly concave shell-guard of shaped oval form, quillon-block and globular pommel with later threaded button, all finely pierced and chiselled with foliated scrolls, fluted double quillons and knuckle-guard chiselled with foliage, and grip bound with twisted steel wire and ribbon, the latter decorated with minute gilt florets
