A Caucasian Shasqua Awarded For Bravery
Reign Of Nicholas II (1894-1917)

With curved fullered blade (some pitting over half its length to the point), the forte on one side etched with foliage and an eagle, the latter between 'Weapons Factory' in abbreviated Russian and bladesmith's name 'Osman Omarov' in Russian, and on the other with a panel of foliage and stamped with the same bladesmith's name between eagle marks, characteristic walrus-ivory hilt applied on one side of the pommel with red enamelled Order of St. Anne fourth class beneath an applied silver scroll engraved 'For Bravery' in Russian, in replacement wooden scabbard painted black and retaining the original chape (pitted) and suspension mounts damascened in gold with scrolling foliage on the outside, and with two rings for suspension
