Reign Nicholas II (1894-1917)

With curved blade double-edged towards the point and fullered along the back for most of its length on both sides, the forte on one side etched with a panel containing an Imperial eagle above the maker's name 'Guzunov' in Russian, and on the other with a panel containing a crowned cypher of Tsar Nicholas II, characteristic hilt with pommel encased in nielloed silver-gilt chased with foliage, and with rounded dark horn grips, in original wooden scabbard covered in black leather with silver-gilt locket, chape and suspension mounts en suite with the pommel on the outside, and with a ring for suspension
