With curved sharply pointed blade fullered along the back for most of its length on each side, and etched and gilt with a martial trophy between foliage against a blued ground over half its length on both sides (some wear and surface patination), gilt-brass hilt comprising recurved quillons with rounded foliated terminals (knuckle-chain missing), side-guard (minor damage) pierced with a fouled anchor in a circle, rounded pommel and back-piece in one and each cast and chased with foliage, and partly chequered rounded ebony grip (chipped), in original brown leather scabbard with linear engraved gilt-brass mounts, the locket signed in full on an oval on one side and with frog-button on the other, and two rings for suspension (some wear to gilding)
