Early 19th Century

With curved fullered single-edged blade (some wear) etched with foliage over half its length on each side, one side involving a martial trophy, gilt-brass hilt comprising recurved quillons with rounded terminals engraved with a flower-head on each side, lion-mask langets, lion's head pommel and faceted back-piece, and swelling ivory grip chequered along each side, in original gilt-brass scabbard (some denting) with suspension mounts each cast and chased with branches of acorn and carrying a ring for suspension, and retaining much of its original gilding
