Early 19th Century

With slender tapering blade of flattened hexagonal section, gilt-copper hilt comprising waisted quillons of octagonal section with pointed terminals, pommel of octagonal section with tapering button, and tapering grip of circular section, in original gilt-copper scabbard engraved with foliate designs at the locket and chape (tip removed), the former with frog-button and engraved with an anchor beneath (some loss of gilding)
