With tapering double-edged blade of flattened diamond section, etched and gilt against a blued ground on one side with foliage, maker's details on a foliated scroll and a martial trophy, and on the other with a martial trophy and foliage, gilt-brass hilt comprising quillons with rounded terminals and cusped upper edges, and tapering turned and roped baluster ivory grip (pommel replaced), in original black leather scabbard with linear engraved gilt-brass mounts (chape replaced) and two suspension rings
