A Caucasian 32-Bore Miquelet-Lock Pistol
Early 19th Century

With earlier slender barrel chiselled with foliate C-scrolls at the breech, characteristic lock damascened in gold with scrolling arabesques, struck with gilt circular maker's mark and retaining its padded leather finger protector, wooden full stock covered in black leather and with full silver mounts (minor damage) nielloed with designs of arabesques and foliage against a ground of wrigglework lines, secured by pins and including scroll side-plate, back-strap and two barrel bands, compressed spherical walrus-ivory pommel with circular nielloed silver pommel-cap and iron suspension ring, gold-damascened button trigger, and no provision for a ramrod
