A Turkish Breast-Plate (Krug)
Late 15th/Early 16th Century

Of steel, comprising a circular central plate over the chest with flat central boss bordered by radiating flutes and incised with the Ottoman (St. Irene) arsenal mark on the outer border, and with four smaller plates shaped to the body and under the arms attached to it by riveted flattened and circular rings (some replacements and some pitting overall)
