19th Century, Probably Kutch

With characteristic bright single-edged blade of flattened diamond section towards the upcurved point, decorated on each side with a large panel of silver-damascened scrolling foliage, and mounted on a gilt-brass elephant's head formed in the round with punched and chased details, on tubular haft damascened in silver overall en suite with the blade, and gilt-brass finial formed in the round as a punched and chased tiger's head with a bud in its mouth, threaded and opening to reveal a slender single-edged knife-blade
