A Rare German Dagger Of 'Landsknecht' Type
First Half Of The 16th Century

With long tapering blade of hollowed diamond section forming a slender medial ridge over its entire length on each side, the forte on one side struck with a mark, iron hilt comprising short downcurved quillons with writhen spherical tips, cushion-shaped pommel cut with fan-shaped flutes on each side and retained by a flat star-shaped washer on top, and later bottle-shaped wooden grip (some pitting overall)
