With tapering double-edged blade (worn and pitted) retaining faint traces of etched decoration on both sides at the forte, iron hilt with double shell-guard (one half missing) filled with a brazed-in plate pierced with a trellised design, scrolled arms beneath flattened rounded quillons, globular pommel with large button, and grip bound with plain and twisted silver wire, the surfaces throughout chiselled with a trellised design encrusted with silver diamonds, flower-heads and pellets centred on fruits and berries against crossed feathers within beaded borders
