With tapering blade of flattened oval section with central fuller over most of its length on each side and faint traces of etched decoration on both sides of the forte, iron hilt comprising downbent flattened kidney-shaped quillons each pierced with a small circular hole and springing from a central quillon-block, globular four-sided pommel, and grip bound with plain and twisted silver wire, the surfaces encrusted throughout with silver symmetrical foliated scrollwork centred on cherub-masks and terminating in profile grotesque heads, all within borders of beadwork, in fine condition with only minimal wear
