With colichemarde blade of sharply tapering hollow triangular section, the forte on one side etched with a gilt panel inscribed 'Nec temer Nec timide' within an oval, a foliate panel inscribed 'Non Solli Cedidt', a bird and a foliated sun-in-splendor above, and on the other with a stand of banners, foliage and stars, characteristic russet hilt decorated in relief with rocailles and foliage partly within raised borders with gold dots, on the shell-guard with elaborate trophies of arms involving an eagle, a lion, a winged dragon and a bearded Turk's head respectively, quillon-block and globular pommel en suite, knuckle-guard with a trophy of arms on each side, and original grip bound with copper ribbon and twisted copper wire (some wear overall)
