Late 17th Century, Indistinct Silver Maker's Mark, Probably T.W, A Crown Above
With curved fullered blade double-edged towards the point (some light pitting), hilt comprising rear quillon with rounded terminal cast, pierced and chased with a cherub's head on a double scroll, foliate engraved quillon-block, knuckle-guard cast on each side with hounds against punched grounds, one pursuing a stag, the terminal hooked into the pommel-cap and cast, pierced and chased as a monster-head emerging from foliage, pommel-cap with a cherub's mask amid foliage, and natural buckhorn grip (old split) with silver basal ferrule
